Reverend Fr. Charles Blanchard, MSW, CPEWhere there are barriers, we will indeed surmount! Father Charles has felt called to the priesthood ever since grade school and has found ministry, working with people and empowering people to live more productive lives most gratifying.
Deacon Angela LippardDeacon Angela has a BA in Religious Studies and a Women's Studies Certificate from the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). Angela has worked in social/human services since she graduated from UDM, and she has specifically worked with older adults and persons with disabilities since 2003. Angela has received a Foundation in Aging Certificate from Boston University. In her current employment, she assists older adults and their caregivers with finding and navigating long-term care and community based services.
Angela’s call to serve and celebrate the gifts in all God’s children has been lifelong. She was able to follow her call with the assistance of the Community of Christ the Good Shepherd, and she was ordained into the Diaconate in August of 2014. Currently, her outreach is focused on serving the under-served and those pushed to the fringes of our community. She believes that God is love and all are welcome to the table. Angela will often be found at LGBTQI events showing support, listening and sharing in peoples’ journeys.
Angela and her husband, Paul Collom, have been married since 2006. They currently live in Ferndale and love supporting the local community. Paul is a great ally and will often join Angela for larger outreach events.
