Solid stewardship is a prerequisite to good ministry. The Finance Committee assists the Pastor in the administration of Christ the Good Shepherd Church’s temporal matters. An active, well-formed Finance Committee is key for promoting the financial health of a parish, assuring accountability, and assisting the Pastor.
With expertise in fundraising, non-profit operations, accounting, and parish administration, the Finance Committee is steeped in knowledge and ability. An annual budget is prepared and approved by the Parish Council and Pastor, and then the Finance Committee manages the disbursement of the budget on a month-to-month basis.
Development Programs are created to provide for the needs of the parish, purchasing special items, or to ensure the long-term viability of our church.
